FC Barcelona striker Sergio García has signed an extension to his contract which ties him to the club until 2007.
Youth international
Barcelona announced the news on Monday following several weeks of negotiations. The 20-year-old, a product of Barça's youth system, made his senior debut in a UEFA Champions League match against Club Brugge KV on 29 October 2002 and showed his talent in helping Spain to the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship final.

Sergio García said: "I am really pleased. It was always my hope to continue with this club for many years. I am happy about the confidence that Barça have placed in me and I only hope that I can return that faith in the best way possible."
