Jaime Gavilán is returning to Spain from a Greek hospital after sustaining a blow to the head in Getafe CF's 1-1 UEFA Cup draw at AEK Athens FC.
Precautionary measure
The 22-year-old midfielder, who is on loan from Valencia CF, was hospitalised in Athens as a precautionary measure after colliding with AEK's Roberto Arruabarrena. However, he is fully conscious and is expected to fly back to Madrid today to rejoin his team-mates. Getafe took the lead through Rubén De la Red after 86 minutes but Ismael Blanco equalised before the final whistle. The Round of 32 tie concludes in Spain next Thursday.
