Dutch UEFA Cup hopefuls SC Heerenveen have signed striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar from PSV Eindhoven.
Three-year deal
The 20-year-old striker has put pen to paper on a deal which will keep him at Heerenveen until the summer of 2007, having been allowed to leave PSV, where his contract had not been due to expire until the summer of 2005. Huntelaar has represented the Netherlands at Under-16, U18, U19 and U21 levels.
Terrific strike-rate
Huntelaar had made just one appearance for PSV as a substitute in the 2002/03 season before briefly going out on loan to their Eredivisie rivals De Graafschap. But he spent last season with second division side AGOVV Apeldoorn where he enjoyed a terrific campaign scoring 26 goals in 35 games, including three hat-tricks.
