Saha out until new year

Louis Saha will not play again for Fulham FC this year after undergoing surgery on a torn hamstring.

On crutches
The former FC Metz forward picked up the injury against Tottenham Hotspur FC in September and has failed to make a recovery. He decided to undergo surgery last week and will be on crutches for about a month and half.

'I'm very pleased'
"It went very well," said Saha on Fulham's website. "I'm very pleased with the surgeon. He told me it was important to have the operation done. I'm feeling really positive because I know it was certain that I needed to have the surgery to improve. Now I'm looking forward to making my comeback." The 24-year-old Frenchman has scored one goal this season in five appearances.
