Nobody has scored more goals for the Netherlands, all the more impressive considering he struck his 40th and final international goal in October 2003 aged just 27.
Renowned for his aerial prowess, Kluivert won two championships with his hometown club before joining Milan and then Barcelona. The striker, five-goal joint-top scorer at UEFA EURO 2000 on home soil, claimed titles with Barça and PSV before knee injuries forced him to hang up his boots aged 31.
Kluivert has since had coaching positions at AZ Alkmaar and NEC Nijmegen, and now combines training the FC Twente youth team with a role as assistant to new Netherlands boss Van Gaal.
