Marseille

Likely XI: Mandanda (FRA); Sakai (JAP), Rami (FRA), Luiz Gustavo (BRA), Amavi (FRA); Anguissa (CMR), Sanson (FRA); Thauvin (FRA), Payet (FRA), Ocampos (ARG); Germain (FRA)
Out
: none
Doubtful: Rolando (calf), Sarr (shoulder), Mitroglou (thigh), Payet (thigh)

  • Rudi Garcia should have inspirational captain Dimitri Payet available after the playmaker missed the weekend league match against Guingamp with a minor thigh niggle. Garcia will have to decide whether to deploy Luiz Gustavo in defence or in midfield, while the powerful André Zambo Anguissa is a midfield alternative to Maxime Lopez. Hiroki Sakai could pip Bouna Sarr – struggling with a shoulder injury – to the right-back berth.

Likely XI: Oblak (SVN); Vrsaljko (CRO), Giménez (URU), Godín (URU), Lucas (FRA); Koke (ESP), Saúl Ñíguez (ESP), Gabi (ESP), Correa (ARG); Griezmann (FRA), Costa (ESP)
Out: none
Doubtful: none

  • Diego Simeone has a welcome headache at left-back following Filipe Luís's speedy recovery from injury, however youngster Lucas Hernández has made the position his own in the Brazilian's absence and expect him to start. It will be a toss-up between Thomas Partey and captain Gabi in central midfield; expect the latter's big-game experience to earn him the nod, though.

This article will be updated as and when there's further news from the camps.
