Dnipro v Rosenborg background

Dnipro made it to the final of the UEFA Europa League last season but there will be no repeat this time round as they meet Rosenborg in their final Group G game.

Last season's runners-up FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Rosenborg BK – both out of contention for a place in the round of 32 – will look to sign off from the UEFA Europa League with a flourish as their Group G campaigns conclude on matchday six.

• In their first encounter with Norwegian opponents, Dnipro beat Rosenborg 1-0 in Trondheim on matchday two.

The coaches
• Myron Markevych led Dnipro to the UEFA Europa League final in his first season at the helm. The one-time midfielder enjoyed success at home and in the UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League in charge of an exciting FC Metalist Kharkiv squad. He was briefly Ukraine boss in 2010.

• Kåre Ingebrigtsen was born in Trondheim and has been with Rosenborg as a player or a coach for long periods of his professional career. As a midfielder, he spent two years abroad with Manchester City FC and was assistant coach at Viking FK when he was offered the senior job at Rosenborg.
