SS Lazio have won all of their previous home games against Ukrainian sides and need just a point against last season's beaten UEFA Europa League finalists FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk to reach the last 32.

• Lazio are through if they avoid defeat. Lazio and AS Saint-Étienne will qualify together if the Italian outfit win.

Previous meetings
A late goal secured a 1-1 draw for Dnipro when the teams met for the first time on 17 September.

• Lazio's record against Ukrainian clubs is W7 D1 L1 (W4 D0 L0 at home). They are unbeaten in eight against Ukrainian opponents (W7 D1) since a 1-0 loss at FC Chornomorets Odesa in September 1975.

• Dnipro's record against Italian sides is W2 D3 L6 (W0 D1 L4 in Italy). That sole draw in Italy came on their last visit – 1-1 against SSC Napoli, a result they followed up with a 1-0 home win to reach last season's final.

Form guide
• Lazio are unbeaten in Group G and have won their last three games in the competition. They have also triumphed in all three of their European home fixtures this season.

• Dnipro failed to score in back-to-back defeats by St-Étienne on matchdays three and four. They have four points – the same total they had after matchday four last season, when they went on to qualify for the round of 32 with seven points and then forge on to the final.

• Lazio have successfully navigated their way through their last three UEFA Europa League group stage campaigns, having missed out on the round of 32 in their first two attempts: in 2004/05 and 2009/10.

• Dnipro have negotiated four of their previous five UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League group stage campaigns, including successes in the last three editions.

Trivia and links
• The journey from Dnipropetrovsk to Rome is around 1,900km.

• Dnipro defender Artem Fedetskiy can make his 50th UEFA club competition appearance in this game.

• With 30 goals, Lazio's Miroslav Klose is the eighth highest-scoring German player in UEFA club competition history.

The coaches
• A central defender, with Juventus and ACF Fiorentina among others, Stefano Pioli was appointed by Lazio in June 2014. He has been a coach in Italy's top two divisions since 2003, his clubs including home-town side Parma FC, AC Chievo Verona and most recently Bologna FC.

• Dnipro coach Myron Markevych led his side to the UEFA Europa League final in his first season at the helm. The one-time midfielder enjoyed success at home and in the UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League in charge of an exciting FC Metalist Kharkiv side. He was briefly Ukraine boss in 2010.
