Unai Emery, Sevilla coach
Zenit have important players missing but they are a great team. They are top of the Russian league, they have international experience, and they have won this compeition. Every team in this round deserves to be here. Zenit have Champions League experience, and they have come through difficult ties against PSV and Torino.

This is an open tie. Playing at home, our goal is to win and not to concede. It will be difficult to decide the tie in the first leg. We have to be mentally ready to compete for 180 minutes. Zenit know how to play at home and away. This is not the same Zenit I faced when I was Spartak Moskva coach.

André Villas-Boas, Zenit coach
We have a host of suspended players and Sevilla are almost unbeatable at home. It will be a very difficult match for us but we want to continue in this competition. We will try to get a good result. I have won four trophies in five years as coach and I want to continue winning silverware.

We have four suspended players and players like Garay and Tymoshchuk didn't play the last match to avoid any more injuries. The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán is a stadium well-known for its atmosphere but Zenit made history in this competition and we want to make history again.

Expert predictions
Nick Aitken: Victorious in all four knockout fixtures so far, Sevilla were certainly more vulnerable in their group encounters, with doughty defending, fine goalkeeping and admirable finishing required under heavy pressure. "This team is mentally strong and knows how to weather a storm," said Emery after the Villarreal tie. When Zenit visit the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, a clean sheet to take to Russia will be a priority.

Richard van Poortvliet: Severely depleted, Zenit have it all to do in the away game. For Villas-Boas, it is imperative that they have something to play for come 23 April, so Zenit may be more defensive than usual in Seville where a draw would be an excellent outcome.
