Club Brugge KV claimed another Danish scalp as goals from Víctor Vázquez, Obbi Oularé and Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo gave them a comfortable 3-0 UEFA Europa League victory against Aalborg BK.

Starting with a 3-1 advantage from their first encounter at Aalborg Stadion, the home side confirmed their progress to the round of 16 with a relatively simple victory. Vázquez struck in the 11th minute, and Club Brugge extended their aggregate advantage in the second half courtesy of a fine strike from Oularé, 19, and a tap-in from 20-year-old Bolingoli-Mbombo.

Vázquez got the ball rolling with a deft finish, using the outside of his foot to beat AaB goalkeeper Nicolai Larsen after Lior Refaelov had turned a pass from Bolingoli-Mbombo towards him. Ruud Vormer and Oularé then missed excellent close-range chances for the hosts, before AaB – who named an all-Danish stating XI – spurned their best chance of the game, Andreas Bruhn dwelling on the ball and allowing Oscar Duarte to put in a magnificent last-ditch challenge.

Club Brugge exerted their authority again on 64 minutes, Oularé latching onto a pass from Vormer before outsprinting Kenneth Emil Petersen and driving in a finish that Larsen failed to keep out with his fingertips. It was then left to Bolingoli-Mbombo to score the Belgian club's final goal ten minutes later, following another incisive move. The Congolese striker initially shot against a team-mate but was left with a simple finish as the ball dropped to him with Larsen already committed.
