Soriano: Pep talk difference for Villarreal

We are happy with the points, they have left us in a good position and given us confidence for the upcoming matches. Every game is different. We always go out with full intensity, but sometimes there are situations in a game that confront you in a particular way. We always play at 100% and the second half was better for us than the first.

The coach had warned us what would happen and at half-time he was very intense. His words were important for the players. We know that if we let our level drop any team can beat us, but if we give our best it is difficult to beat us.

The team works well and consistently. Since the beginning of the season and even pre-season we have seen it. There are players who are left out of the squad for some games and they are important in games like tonight. We have a very good squad and the coach knows it. Having the squad that we have is very important for us.

The team is in a very good situation. We have achieved important victories in the first three games and now we have to do our best in the three games remaining in our group if we want to reach the next phase. The team is aware that we have to give our best in all three competitions [Liga, Copa del Rey and UEFA Europa League], we have a good squad for that and we are showing this quality in each game.

The confidence to score goals is always good, I want to score, but the important thing is the team, I always say it, and we are in a great spell. I'm getting my confidence back and every day I feel better. Here we all get along, it's healthy competition, and it's good to know that the four strikers are scoring goals. We have many competitions this season and strikers know that they have keep the team on track with our goals.

It's very important to finish the group stage on top. We are closer to achieving that. The first half ended level, but in the second half, playing like a team, we were able to make the difference. Whether it's the four strikers, midfielders or defenders, the important thing is that the team wins and it's not important who scores the goals. Now we will face the next Liga games in a calm and confident mood. The UEFA Europa League is a long tournament, we have to keep our feet on the ground and continue working.

If we go match by match then qualification is possible. Villarreal were better than us, dominating the game. We try to give our best, but they were better than us. The first three goals from Villarreal came from our mistakes ... making no mistakes is the big difference between a big teams and a small one. We will try to win our next two matches at home and will see.
