Given the way the second half went, it is a good result. Mönchengladbach had more chances. Our goalkeeper played well, as did our defence. We can be happy with a point. Against Young Boys in our last league game, we had 80% possession and lost. This time, we barely had the ball – were mostly on the defensive, but we grabbed a point. I prefer that.

No one expects us to do much in Europe, so we are determined to give everything. It's good experience for us, for every player. It adds a little more to the character of each player. We have to keep our feet on the ground, and think about our next game.

Mönchengladbach are a good team and have shown that in the Bundesliga. We played well, we had chances, we could have scored more, and conceded a goal due to an individual mistake. When you play against great teams you are immediately punished when that happens. So we have to learn from that experience and think about that for our next game.

Playing against Lucien Favre motivated us even more. I had been with him at Hertha. It was a pleasure to see him here in Zurich, and we will see him again in the return fixture.

Each match that we have in this competition is like a cup tie for us. We have to give our all, play our game, and enjoy ourselves with the ball.

Overall, we played quite well, but it wasn't a great game from us. We had more opportunities, 31 shots, but we didn't have any clear-cut chances, really good chances. Zürich defended well, and we often lacked the movement and pace to destabilise them. It was important to quickly get back to 1-1. We could have won it, but I can live with the draw.

You could see it as a good point, but also perhaps as two points dropped. We had some great chances, and perhaps we should have scored. But Zürich aren't a bad side. We did our best, but unfortunately we didn't score.

We have been on a great run. All the players in our team are good, we have had some new players come in, and we're playing well. We had a good pre-season, we trained hard, and the coach is doing great work.

We knew the coach had been successful here, that he'd been champion here. But it was a new game for us, and it was his past. We wanted the three points here, we're going away with just the one. I can't say that's bad, but every time you play you want three points.

Against Limassol, we'll be looking for a victory, especially since  we're playing at home. I think that is what the team always does. We came here to do that, we pushed them very hard, but we didn't take our chances.
