It has been a long time since we were pushing so hard at the end of a game. It was good that we did so in the UEFA Europa League against opponents like this. We played like a team today and it was a good victory. We were unable to take most of our chances, but this was effectively our second game in as many days and tiredness crept in.
We fought to the end and this is a magnificent victory, fully deserved. We have played two games in the Europa League and we have two victories, so we are on the right track. PSV are a young team with a number of internationals and not easy to play against, but we did well and the most important thing is that we won.
It was really important that we kept a clean sheet – that was our main goal. We were also hoping to score, and managed it right at the end. Six points from two games is a seriously good result. We have not got anything to complain about in the Europa League. We will continue with the same mindset – but now we will have a rest.
Christopher Samba, Dinamo defender
I think it was a very good team performance against a very good young PSV team. It was important to pick up the points at home as we know we have some tough games coming up away. We gave ourselves a great platform to go on and qualify, but we need to work hard and continue what we are doing. I am sure we are going to succeed.
A lot of teams do not know that much about us. When people speak about Dinamo, they probably think about Dinamo Kyiv. It's all about putting the team on the map. We need to be [in Europe] regularly and that will be good for the young players. PSV – I would not like to play them in three years, because in three years they will be a very, very good team.
Georginio Wijnaldum, PSV forward
We played a good game today and for much of the time I think we were the better side. We created a lot of chances but didn't take them. We played good football today – no long-ball stuff. We tried to help each other and play the ball on the ground and created a lot of chances. That was a positive for us, and we battled as a team.
