Juventus take on Trabzonspor

Final hosts Juventus are on a quest for a fourth success in this competition as they take on Trabzonspor AŞ in the UEFA Europa League round of 32.

Previous meetings
• The sides are meeting for the first time in UEFA competition.

• Juventus have played eight games against Turkish clubs, with the record W3 D3 L2 (W2 D2 L0 in Turin – W1 D1 L2 away). Of those away matches, one – a 2-0 UEFA Champions League loss to Galatasaray AŞ in 2003 – was played on neutral territory in Dortmund.

• Juventus were beaten 1-0 by Galatasaray in their final UEFA Champions League group game this season, a defeat that cost them a place in the round of 16.

• Trabzonspor's 12 fixtures against Italian sides have ended W3 D5 L4 (W1 D3 L2 in Trabzon – W2 D2 L2 in Italy). • Juventus Stadium will stage this season's UEFA Europa League final. Juventus can thus become the third side since the UEFA Cup was first decided with a one-off match in 1997/98 to compete in the showpiece at their home arena. Feyenoord won the 2002/03 competition in Rotterdam, but Sporting Clube de Portugal lost the 2004/05 decider in Lisbon.

• Juventus's Martin Cáceres and Trabzonspor's Didier Zokora were team-mates at Sevilla FC (2010–11).

Coach information
• Antonio Conte has led Juventus to back-to-back Italian titles since taking charge at his old club in 2011. The 44-year-old started out as a midfielder at home-town team US Lecce, then represented Juventus from 1991–2004, winning five Serie A titles, the 1992/93 UEFA Cup and the 1995/96 UEFA Champions League among a host of other trophies. He returned to the club as a coach after spells in charge of US Arezzo, AS Bari, Atalanta BC and AC Siena.

• Conte is one of three coaches in the round of 32 who won the UEFA Cup as players, along with PAOK FC's Huub Stevens (PSV, 1978) and Ajax's Frank de Boer (Ajax 1992).

• Trabzonspor accepted the resignation of coach Mustafa Akçay in early February following a run of disappointing domestic results. His former assistant Hami Mandıralı is standing in for him. The 45-year-old was a club legend as an attacking midfielder, famous for thunderous free-kicks. Capped 49 times, he was in charge of Turkey's Under-21 set-up before returning to Trabzonspor as Akçay's assistant in 2013.

Round of 16
• The winners of this tie will meet Esbjerg FB or ACF Fiorentina in the round of 16, playing the first leg at home.

• Juventus have never met Esbjerg, but know Fiorentina well from Serie A. They also beat the Viola 3-1 on aggregate in the 1989/90 UEFA Cup final – the sides' only previous European encounters.
