SS Lazio have added another option to their midfield with the signing of Gaël Kakuta on loan from Chelsea FC until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old Frenchman, a product of the RC Lens youth system, arrived in London in 2009 but appeared just six times for the Blues. A series of loan spells followed, most recently at Vitesse, where he made 12 substitute appearances and scored once in the Eredivisie this term.
Lazio will play PFC Ludogorets Razgrad in the UEFA Europa League round of 32, with the first leg taking place in Rome on 20 February before the return the following week.
