ACF Fiorentina have reacted to Giuseppe Rossi's injury by taking forward Alessandro Matri on loan from AC Milan for the rest of the season.
Rossi is unlikely to play for Fiorentina again in 2013/14 after suffering knee ligament damage so Fiorentina have turned to 29-year-old Matri, who joined Milan from Juventus last summer for a reported €13m but has managed only one goal in 18 appearances. "I feel good and in form," Matri said.
The Italy striker moves to a Fiorentina side fourth in Serie A, through to the Coppa Italia quarter-finals and preparing to face Esbjerg fB in the UEFA Europa League round of 32 on 20 and 27 February.
