Face-off time for PSV and Chornomorets

PSV Eindhoven must avoid defeat at home against FC Chornomorets Odesa if they are to make it through to the UEFA Europa League round of 32 as Group B runners-up.

• The sides are level on seven points, but PSV would progress at the expense of their opponents in the event of a draw due to their superior head-to-head record.

• Memphis Depay and Florian Jozefzoon scored as PSV won 2-0 away against Chornomorets on matchday two, in what was the Ukrainian side's first encounter with Dutch opponents.

• PSV's 13 encounters with Ukrainian teams have ended W5 D3 L5 (W2 D2 L2 at home – W3 D1 L3 in Ukraine). They have not won in their last two home games against Ukrainian sides: a 0-0 draw with FC Metalist Kharkiv and a 2-1 loss to FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

• PSV's Depay and Aleksandr Ryazantsev of FC Rubin Kazan have had ten attempts off target – more than any other players in the group stage. Depay has also had six on target, scoring his only Group B goal against Chornomorets.

• Chornomorets' Olexiy Gai – who made his 50th UEFA club competition appearance on matchday five – has been fouled 15 times in the group stage: more than any other player. Team-mate Olexiy Antonov has been nearly as harshly treated, suffering 14 fouls.

• PSV's Swedish international Ola Toivonen overtook Eduardo Salvio at the top of the UEFA Europa League all-time player appearance listings on matchday five, making his 35th outing in the successor to the UEFA Cup.

• PSV are one of five clubs in this season's group stage to have won this competition before (1978), along with Valencia CF (2004), Eintracht Frankfurt (1980) and two-time winners Sevilla FC (2006, 2007) and Tottenham Hotspur FC (1972, 1984). PSV are the only side involved on matchday six to have also won the European Champion Clubs' Cup, in 1988.

Coach information
• Hired in the summer of 2013 to coach the club he served so successfully as a player, Phillip Cocu spent several years preparing and working with the senior national team and PSV's youth teams before briefly taking caretaker command of the PSV first XI in 2012. Capped 101 times by the Netherlands, he won four Dutch titles with PSV either side of a lengthy spell at FC Barcelona, peaking with the 1998/99 Liga triumph.

• Chornomorets coach since November 2010, Roman Grygorchuk was a successful striker in his native Ukraine, also playing in Austria, Poland and Russia before going from the pitch to the bench in Latvia. He won three Latvian titles as FK Ventspils coach but then opted to return to Ukraine. In Odessa, he won promotion to the top division in his first season in charge, while a sixth-place finish in 2012/13 opened the door to Europe.
