Legia must fill in blanks against Trabzonspor

Legia Warszawa are running out of time as they head into matchday four needing a win against UEFA Europa League Group I leaders Trabzonspor AŞ to be sure of having something to play for on matchday five.

Previous meetings
• Legia had the bulk of the chances when the sides met for the first time on matchday three, but Marc Janko's goal seven minutes after kick-off and Olcan Adın's free-kick seven minutes from time secured a 2-0 win for the home side.

• Trabzonspor boast Polish talent in the form of attacking midfielder Adrian Mierzejewski, who celebrates his 28th birthday on the eve of the Legia game. He moved to Turkey from Legia's local rivals KSP Polonia Warszawa in 2011. He and Legia defenders Tomasz Brzyski and Tomasz Jodłowiec were team-mates at Polonia.

• Legia coach Jan Urban will turn 52 on the day of the 2013/14 UEFA Europa League final. Having scored at an impressive rate for Zagłębie Sosnowiec and Górnik Zabrze, the striker had a long spell in Spain, notably with CA Osasuna from 1989 to 1994. Capped 57 times for Poland, he started coaching with Osasuna's B team and is now in his second stint in charge at Legia, winning a domestic double in his first season back in 2012/13.

• Trabzonspor's Mustafa Akçay spent several spells observing AFC Ajax at close hand during his coach education. He made his name by winning promotion to the second tier with TKİ Tavşanlı Linyitspor in 2009/10; their survival at that level the following season prompted Trabzonspor's feeder club 1461 Trabzon to take him on, and Trabzon's third-place finish in the same division last term earned the trainer a move to Trabzonspor in summer 2013.
