Thun aim for home repeat against Dynamo

FC Thun will look to reclaim second place in UEFA Europa League Group G from FC Dynamo Kyiv after their second visit to the Ukrainian capital ended up being less satisfactory than the first.

Previous meetings
• Dynamo powered to a 3-0 win when the sides met on matchday three, Andriy Yarmolenko, Dieumerci Mbokani and substitute Oleh Gusev on target in Kyiv. It matched the margin of Thun's worst ever defeat in UEFA competition, a 4-1 loss at Stoke City FC in August 2011.

• In their run to the 2005/06 UEFA Champions League group stage, Urs Schönenberger's Thun eliminated Leonid Buryak's Dynamo in the second qualifying round. The sides drew 2-2 in Kyiv before Tiago Bernardini's late goal handed Thun a 1-0 win in the return fixture in Berne.

Coach information
• Urs Fischer took charge of Thun in November 2012 following a long spell working with FC Zürich, where he was in charge of various youth teams before becoming assistant and then senior coach. The centre-back made a record 545 Swiss league appearances – over 300 of them for Zürich, where he played his first and last games. In between, he captained FC St Gallen and was capped four times by Switzerland.

• Oleh Blokhin has been coaching the club he graced as a player, Dynamo, since September 2012, stepping down as Ukraine coach for a second time after leading them out as co-hosts at UEFA EURO 2012. The European Footballer of the Year in 1975, Blokhin won eight Soviet titles and two European Cup Winners' Cups in a glorious spell at Dynamo from 1969 to 1988. He started coaching in Greece but returned home to help Ukraine reach the 2006 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals.
