Austrian international Aleksandar Dragovic has ended his stay with FC Basel 1893 after signing a five-year contract with FC Dynamo Kyiv.
No details of the fee have been released for the transfer of the former FK Austria Wien academy product, who has now won 21 caps for his country. "Dynamo Kyiv are a great team and I didn't reflect much after I got this invitation," said the 22-year-old. "I came here to win trophies and I am sure that we will play in the UEFA Champions League next season."
"There are already very good centre-backs playing for Dynamo in Domagoj Vida and Yevhen Khacheridi so there are really good players here and I'm glad that I will play alongside them now," added Dragovic on leaving the club he made 76 league appearances for in the past two and a half years.
Dynamo Kyiv finished third in the Ukrainian Premier League last season, meaning a rare campaign without UEFA Champions League football this term. They begin their participation in the UEFA Europa League in the play-off round.
