Mohammed Abdellaoue has agreed to join VfB Stuttgart from Bundesliga rivals Hannover 96 for an undisclosed fee.
The Norwegian international, 27, has put pen to paper on a four-year contract, ending a three-season association with Hannover for whom he scored 29 goals in 80 league appearances. "I am happy we have managed to convince 'Moa' to join us. He has international experience and fantastic skill. We will be far more flexible with him in our attack," said Stuttgart sporting director Fredi Bobic.
"I was very happy with the offer and desperately wanted to come here," added Abdellaoue, who made his name in Norway with spells at Skeid FK and Vålerenga Fotball. "Stuttgart are a big club with great tradition and there are lots of good players here. It is a big step forward in my career and I am very much looking forward to the next few years."
Bruno Labbadia's team, who finished 12th in the Bundesliga, qualified for the 2013/14 UEFA Europa League by virtue of reaching the German Cup final, where they succumbed 3-2 against FC Bayern München. Hannover came ninth.
