This season's UEFA Europa League once again shone the light on a number of the continent's brightest young things. UEFA.com picks out eight of the most promising talents to have played in the competition.

Raúl Bobadilla (BSC Young Boys)
Dubbed a "bull" by Young Boys coach Martin Rueda after his hat-trick against Udinese Calcio on matchday three, Argentinian centre-forward Bobadilla finished with five group stage goals to his name, earning a move to FC Basel 1893.

Aleksandar Dragovic (FC Basel 1893)
The defender, already a seasoned Austrian international, was the centrepiece of a Basel back line that conceded just 12 goals in 13 games before their 3-1 semi-final second-leg loss at Chelsea FC – when, tellingly, Dragović was suspended.

Yevhen Konoplyanka (FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk)
Blessed with leadership qualities, a rich array of skills and decent pace, Dnipro and Ukraine's rising star has a big future ahead. Midfielder Konoplyanka also has superb shooting ability from range, as evidenced by a fine Group F goal against PSV Eindhoven.

Victor Moses (Chelsea FC)
A forceful presence in attack, the Nigerian international was a revelation in the knockout stage and was unfortunate not to appear in the Amsterdam final. Moses scored in four straight matches, including a key away goal against FC Rubin Kazan in the quarter-finals.

Mohamed Salah (FC Basel 1893)
A skilful dribbler, the Egypt winger created two goals in his side's 3-0 victory against Sporting Clube de Portugal on matchday five, before scoring twice in the knockout rounds as Basel progressed to their first-ever European semi-final.

Eduardo Salvio (SL Benfica)
Already a full international for Argentina, the Benfica forward impressed with his dynamic running on the flanks. It was his strike that ended Newcastle United FC hopes of a late comeback in the quarter-final second leg at St James' Park, ensuring the Eagles marched on.

Salih Uçan (Fenerbahçe SK)
Uçan figured in all but one of the Turkish team's knockout games, netting a crucial goal as they overcame FC Viktoria Plzeň in the round of 16. Still a teenager and boasting enviable vision, he looks set to become a fixture in the Fenerbahçe midfield for years to come.

Jelle Vossen (KRC Genk)
Vossen contributed two goals and an assist as the Belgian outfit secured European football in the spring for the first time. The Belgium striker is also testament to the success of Genk's youth development programme in recent years.
