The UEFA Appeals Body has rejected the appeal lodged by Fenerbahçe SK against the decision of the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body on 24 January, in relation to the Turkish club's UEFA Europa League Group C match against VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach on 6 December 2012.
Consequently, the decision taken by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body is confirmed. The Istanbul team must therefore play their next UEFA Europa League home game – the round of 32 second leg against FC BATE Borisov on 21 February – behind closed doors.
