Portugal defender Rolando has joined SSC Napoli on loan from FC Porto until the end of the season.
The move, which can be made permanent, may end an affiliation with Porto that began in 2008 following the centre-back's switch from CF Os Belenenses. Rolando made 112 Liga appearances for the Dragons, yielding three league titles and the UEFA Europa League in 2011, when the Estádio do Dragão side overcame SC Braga 1-0 in the Dublin final.
"I'm delighted to be at such a great club and to play with a team of champions," said the 27-year-old, who was born in Cape Verde. "I've heard a lot about their passionate fans."
Linking up with Rolando in Naples will be highly rated Croatia midfielder Josip Radošević from HNK Hajduk Split. The 18-year-old, who made his full international debut against Belgium last September, has penned a four-year deal with the option of a further 12 months.
Walter Mazzarri's Napoli are second in Serie A, three points behind Juventus. They face FC Viktoria Plzeň in the UEFA Europa League round of 32, with the first leg at home on 14 February and the return in the Czech Republic a week later.
