Dnipro determined to sink AIK

FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk are already certain to finish top of UEFA Europa League Group F, but can sign off in style as eliminated AIK make their first trip to Ukraine.

Group F permutations
• Dnipro are through as group winners due to their superior head-to-head record over SSC Napoli (away goals).

• Napoli are through as runners-up.

• AIK and PSV Eindhoven are out.

Previous meetings
• Dnipro twice came from behind to win 3-2 when the sides met for the first time on matchday two, in what was both teams' first experience of clubs from their opponents' countries. Nikola Kalinić cancelled out Helgi Daníelsson's early strike before Henok Goitom restored AIK's lead seconds before the interval. However, the visitors responded well, late goals from Vitaly Mandziuk and Yevhen Seleznyov securing maximum points.

• Seven ties have been played between Swedish and Ukrainian sides in UEFA competition, with the Ukrainian teams having the better of them with the record W3 D3 L1 (W1 D2 L0 at home – W2 D1 L1 in Sweden).

• The most recent of those fixtures prior to this season came in the 2011/12 UEFA Europa League group stage, where FC Metalist Kharkiv beat Malmö FF 4-1 away and 3-1 at home.

• Dnipro have won their last four European home games and have secured victories in all three of their UEFA fixtures at the Dnipro Arena this season by two-goal margins.

• Dnipro and Olympique Lyonnais are the top scorers in the group stage with 12 goals each.

• AIK's 4-0 loss at Napoli on matchday one was their heaviest away from home in the UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League, but they have not been outclassed since then, scoring at least once in each of their subsequent games.

• AIK said goodbye to their Råsundastadion home on matchday five with a 2-1 loss to Napoli. They will move to their new home, the Friends Arena, in the winter.

• AIK's next goal will be their 100th in UEFA competition; this is their 84th official European game.

• Dnipro's Ghanaian midfielder Derek Boateng played for AIK (2003–06), going through a relegation and a promotion before leaving for Beitar Jerusalem FC.

• Juande Ramos famously won the UEFA Cup in successive seasons with Sevilla in 2005/06 and 2006/07, with the one-time lower-league midfielder going on to win the English League Cup at Tottenham Hotspur FC and then take charge of Real Madrid CF and (for just 47 days) PFC CSKA Moskva. He has been in command at Dnipro since October 2010.

• Ramos has won 36 games in the UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League as a coach, which leaves him level in fifth place in the all-time rankings for coaches in the competition. One more win will see him join the late Sir Bobby Robson in fourth place in the list.

• AIK coach since December 2010, Andreas Alm played for Stockholm rivals Hammarby IF before coming to his current club as a striker (2000–03). After hanging up his boots, Alm worked as a TV summariser and then joined the coaching staff at AIK, helping them to win a 2009 domestic double under Mikael Stahre, and assisted two further coaches before taking sole command.
