Hugo Lloris was the name on everybody's lips after S.S. Lazio's 0-0 draw with Tottenham Hotspur FC. Home striker Libor Kozák, speaking after his side secured their place in the round of 32, was frustrated to have found his way to goal blocked so often by the French goalkeeper, while Emmanuel Adebayor and Steven Caulker sung the praises of their team-mate. Lloris himself, meanwhile, spoke humbly of his hopes with the London club.
Hugo Lloris, Tottenham goalkeeper
I try to give my best no matter what game it is and no matter who the opponents are. Tottenham are a very big English club with high aspirations, a good project and a young team with good talented players. I think there is a big future here. I need to keep playing to get more confidence and to play to my best.
I hope I do get to play more games, but at the moment we are concentrating on the aims of the club. We have four really good quality goalkeepers. We just train to our best and it's up to the club to decide. It's good to play in European games, but as I said, I need to keep playing and I hope that I will get to play more.
Emmanuel Adebayor, Tottenham striker
I knew him [Lloris] already so I am not surprised with what he has done today. I know how good he is. We're all happy for Lloris because he had a fantastic game. I am very proud and happy to have him in our team. He is one of the best in the world.
Steven Caulker, Tottenham defender
I think Lazio are a good side and they proved that today. We had to defend for an awful lot of the game but on reflection we're happy to come out with a point and a clean sheet. [Lloris] made a lot of crucial saves tonight. He has been fantastic since he joined us ... very patient and very humble.
We've put in some good performances and not quite got the results throughout this campaign. At home we go out to win every game so we will go for the three points [against Panathinaikos FC on matchday six] and hopefully push through. Our aim would be to top the group.
Libor Kozák, Lazio striker
I think we played well as a team and created lots of chances. We are disappointed we didn't get a goal, but pleased because we are through. I am upset about all the chances I missed because I really wanted to score tonight, but things just didn't go my way. It happens. We want to win the group now, so we will go to Slovenia to win [against NK Maribor on matchday six].
Stefano Mauri, Lazio midfielder
We have gone through and now it's important that we finish top of the group so that we don't meet a side who are coming out of the Champions League. You risk losing games like this, so we'll settle for the draw.
