Olympique de Marseille are looking for a new coach to lead them into next season's UEFA Europa League after parting company with Dider Deschamps.
"Olympique de Marseille and Didier Deschamps have finally decided, by mutual consent, not to renew their association for 2012/13," a statement read on Monday. Captain of Marseille when they won the inaugural UEFA Champions League in 1993, Deschamps has enjoyed further success at the Stade Vélodrome since taking to the dugout in summer 2009.
The 43-year-old led Marseille to the Ligue 1 title in his first season in charge – the club's first in 18 years – and also won the French League Cup in each of his three campaigns at the helm. Their latest cup triumph means the south-coast outfit will enter this term's UEFA Europa League in the third qualifying round.
