Bucharest finalists confirm media activities

UEFA Europa League finalists Club Atlético de Madrid and Athletic Club will meet the world's media on 3 May, six days before competing for the trophy in Bucharest.

Club Atlético de Madrid and Athletic Club will stage media open days on 3 May as they look ahead to the UEFA Europa League final, to be played at the National Arena in Bucharest on Wednesday 9 May.

Atlético will welcome international media at the Estadio Vicente Calderón, with coach Diego Simeone holding a press conference at 10.30CET, followed by an open training session at 11.00. The players will then be available for interview in a mixed zone. Media wishing to attend should email Tomas Calvo at tcalvo@clubatleticodemadrid.com before 12.00CET on Wednesday 2 May.

Athletic's event will kick off at 18.00CET on the same day at the club's Lezama training complex and will include a fully open training session, a press conference with coach Marcelo Bielsa, and interview opportunities with players. Media wishing to attend should email prentsa@athletic-club.net by 12.00CET on Wednesday 2 May.

The two clubs have also announced their pre-match media activities at the National Arena in Bucharest on Tuesday 8 May. Atlético will hold their press conference at 18.15 local time, followed by a fully open training session from 19.00–20.00.

Media activities taking place in the National Arena are accessible only to media accredited to the UEFA Europa League final.
