FC Schalke 04 coach Huub Stevens will have to summon every last ounce of his vast experience on Thursday when his team attempt to overturn a 4-2 quarter-final first-leg home defeat at Athletic Club and reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League.

Stevens says those memories "don't help right now", but he is keen to lay down solid foundations to allow the likes of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Raúl González to "bring out their individual quality".
