UEFA Europa League contenders Valencia CF can count on the services of Éver Banega for a further two seasons after the Argentina midfielder signed a new contract until June 2015.
The 23-year-old, whose previous deal was due to expire in 2013, has put pen to paper on a two-year extension at Mestalla. He will now look to add to the 87 Spanish Liga appearances, spiced by four goals, he has made for Unai Emery's men since a 2008 move from CA Boca Juniors.
"I am very happy with this contract extension and hope to continue featuring more and more with the team," said Banega, who has been capped 14 times by Argentina and figured in four UEFA Champions League group stage matches this term.
Following their third-place finish in Group E and subsequent elimination from Europe's premier club competition, Valencia begin their UEFA Europa League quest in the round of 32 away to Stoke City FC on 16 February, with the return leg a week later in eastern Spain.
