FC Salzburg were delighted after a 2-0 UEFA Europa League victory at home to Paris Saint-Germain FC, though defender Martin Hinteregger insisted the Austrians still had plenty of work to do in their final Group F fixture at ŠK Slovan Bratislava, where Ricardo Moniz's side need only match their French counterparts' result against Athletic Club to qualify. PSG defender Zoumana Camara acknowledged his team's predicament and promised a response.

Martin Hinteregger, Salzburg defender
It was a fantastic game. The fans were with us from the very start and the players really felt that. It gives you that added motivation. The goal in the first half was very important as it allowed us to play with a bit more freedom. In the second half I thought we could have scored even more because we had so much room in the final third. Instead, we were made to sweat a bit at the end but thankfully we got the second goal to take us above PSG.

We can't afford to celebrate just yet. We need to make sure we win in Bratislava and that's going to be very difficult. Obviously, morale in the dressing room has been boosted by this win against PSG but we need to make sure we don't get carried away.

Simon Cziommer, Salzburg midfielder
I was confident we would hold on to our 1-0 lead based on what we saw from PSG. It was a determined team performance but unfortunately we allowed them a few chances too, which we wanted to avoid. Still, they were mainly limited to shots from distance so we deserved the win in my eyes.

I think PSG were a bit static in the first half and realised they had to up it a level in the second. We put them under a lot of pressure, but as time went on it got harder and harder. Even so, I don't think PSG deserved to take a point.

Zoumana Camara, PSG defender
Obviously we're very disappointed but we can still qualify. It's never easy to accept a defeat. We've got to get a result at home to Athletic Bilbao and the situation is a little more complicated now. All teams go through a bad patch but the important thing is that we respond quickly. We want to be involved in the Europa League draw on 16 December.

We've lost three games in a row. We're going through a difficult period and it's a shame for the team. We're conceding goals and not scoring, but the quality is there. We need to make sure we don't lose confidence because we definitely have the talent.

Siaka Tiéné, PSG defender
I think we put in a committed performance and we weren't overwhelmed by the occasion. We fought hard enough but sometimes it doesn't go your way. The important thing is that the new signings continue to gel. I think we can be happy with the display. We didn't create enough chances to score, but that's the way it is sometimes.
