København in Vorskla's sights

FC Vorskla Poltava are already out of contention for a UEFA Europa League round of 32 and they will take FC København out of the Group B reckoning too if they can secure a first win in the section on matchday five.

Previous meetings
• Morten Nordstrand's penalty on 54 minutes gave København a 1-0 win when these sides met for the first time on matchday one, on the day that Vorskla goalkeeper Serhiy Dolganskiy celebrated his 37th birthday; it was the Danish club's first meeting with Ukrainian opponents in their current form.

• B 1903 København, who merged with Kjøbenhavns BK to form FCK in 1992, played FC Dynamo Kyiv in the 1973/74 UEFA Cup second round, losing 1-0 away and 2-1 at home.

• Vorskla's only previous meeting with Danish opponents came in the 1998 UEFA Intertoto Cup second round; they drew 2-2 with Akademisk Boldklub in Soberg, winning the tie on away goals following a 1-1 draw in the return fixture.

• Group stage debutants Vorskla have lost both of their Group B home games, with a 3-1 loss to R. Standard de Liège on matchday four confirming that they can no longer progress to the round of 32. That result saw them lose consecutive European home games for the first time in their history.

• FCK have gone three games on the road without a win (two defeats and then a draw) since beating Shamrock Rovers FC 2-0 in Dublin in this season's UEFA Champions League third qualifying round.

• Vorskla attacker Roman Bezus missed matchday four through suspension but remains the most fouled player in the competition, having had 16 free-kicks awarded to him.

• Vorskla have had fewer shots on target than any other side in this season's group stage, just six; however, they have managed to score twice, meaning a third of their shots result in a goal.

• FCK have proved very efficient in attack in the group stage; they have had nine shots on target and scored four goals.

• Roland Nilsson replaced Ståle Solbakken as FCK boss this year, after winning the 2010 Swedish title with Malmö FF. This is his first European season as a coach, but the 116-times capped former Sweden defender has extensive European experience.

• Vorskla boss Mykola Pavlov won a Ukrainian title as Dynamo Kyiv coach in 1995/96, and guided both FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and FC Illychivets Mariupil in European games.
