Camara snaps at PSG inefficiency

Paris Saint-Germain FC ended their UEFA Europa League Group F game at ŠK Slovan Bratislava with nine men, but captain Zoumana Camara told UEFA.com that he still considered the 0-0 draw to be two points dropped. Despite the home side getting off the mark in the section, defender Martin Dobrotka admitted to having "mixed feelings".

Even though we finished with nine men, I think we dropped two points. We had a lot of chances but couldn't score. We caused ourselves problems with the two red cards, but it's a match we should have won. We weren't surprised by them. We came here with the right attitude. Our play was good, we just lacked the finishing touch. We lacked the killer instinct in front of goal. We know that it's the most difficult thing in football to score goals, and we just didn't have the desire to do that. We have to kill off games when we're on top. The group is open, we're going to recover, and we have to beat this team in two weeks' time if we want to go through.

Given the way the match went, we can say that we're happy not to have conceded. But we could have made the match simple, and we made it complicated as we ended with nine men. We'd seen what they were capable of, but we have only ourselves to blame for the fact that we didn't take the three points. We knew that it was within our capabilities to score, but we weren't clinical enough. The next match will be just as difficult, but we've got to learn the lessons of this game and win at the Parc des Princes.

You can't compare PSG and Slovan. PSG have great individual quality, they're really strong, so we had to run a lot and defend. It was difficult for us to get forward, and we left Filip [Šebo] a little bit isolated. We played as much as our opponents let us. They still had more of the ball when they were down to ten men. When they were down to nine in the last ten minutes, we could have used the ball better and pressed more.

We have mixed feelings, because we played with a two-man advantage. We could have scored, but it didn't happen. We have to be satisfied with a point. We started well, but they showed their quality and created some great chances — we were lucky. The point is valuable, but we could have had three. At the end of the game, we were a little bit tired and weren't direct enough, particularly in the penalty box. We had some chances from set pieces but didn't score; that's football. We knew that they were good, and they showed that.
