Sporting Clube de Portugal say that Atila Turan will be their final signing of the summer, after bringing the French Under-19 international in from Grenoble Foot 38 on a free transfer.
The 19-year-old left-back and midfielder has signed a five-year contract with the UEFA Europa League play-off contenders, and said: "This is a big club with great prestige, the club of Luís Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo. This club offered me the best prospects and I didn't hesitate to chose Sporting." A buy-out release clause has valued Turan at €30m with the player eager to "get into the best physical condition" to help coach Domingos Paciência.
Sporting's long list of summer reinforcements includes Valeri Bojinov, André Carrillo, Alberto Rodríguez, Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Oguchi Onyewu, Stijn Schaars, Santiago Árias, Marcelo Boeck, Fabián Rinaudo, Luis Aguiar and Diego Rubio.
