UEFA Europa League hopefuls Paris Saint-Germain FC have bolstered their squad by signing AS Roma winger Jérémy Menez, AS Saint-Étienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi and Valenciennes FC defender Milan Biševac, all on three-year deals.
No fees have been disclosed for the threesome, all of whom were under contract with their former clubs. Menez has brought to a close a three-year stay in Italy, where he scored seven times in 84 league appearances for the Giallorossi after arriving from AS Monaco FC. The 24-year-old was a UEFA European Under-17 Championship winner in 2004.
Matuidi, also 24, made 132 Ligue 1 outings for St Etienne. The holding midfielder, who has been capped three times by Les Bleus to Menez's five, will be aiming to fill the anchorman role vacated by the recently retired Claude Makélélé.
Capped eight times by Serbia, central defender Biševac played under PSG coach Antoine Kombouaré at Valenciennes, and the one-time FK Zeleznik, FK Crvena zvezda and RC Lens man, 27, said he had been in touch with PSG "for a long time" prior to securing his move to the capital.
After finishing fourth last season PSG, who have also signed goalkeeper Nicolas Douchez from Stade Rennais FC and FC Lorient striker Kévin Gameiro, will embark on their UEFA Europa League campaign in the play-offs.
