Former AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano coach Leonardo was unveiled as Paris Saint-Germain FC's new general manager on Wednesday.

Leonardo left his role as Internazionale boss in June after just six months in charge of the Italian Cup winners, having previously coached Milan in 2009/10, yet said he was ready to "build a long-term project" in the French capital. The 41-year-old former Brazilian international played for PSG in 1996/97.

"I'm delighted to join Paris Saint-Germain," said Leonardo, who has also worked as Milan's technical director. "Paris is the only European capital not to have a competitive team, but the potential is there."

Coach Antoine Kombouaré will lead PSG in the 2011/12 UEFA Europa League, beginning in the play-offs, having steered the side to a fourth-placed finish in Ligue 1 as well as to the French Cup final.
