Braga dial up Dynamo pressure

The wind looks to be in SC Braga's sails as they head into the home leg of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final tie against FC Dynamo Kyiv, having earned a 1-1 draw on the road last week.

• Andriy Yarmolenko put the home side in front after just six minutes, but an Oleh Gusev own goal (13) levelled the scores on the night before the dismissal of Andriy Shevchenko for a second bookable offence just after the hour reduced the hosts to ten men.

• Matchday 11 had the most goals per game in the UEFA Europa League this season, with the four matches producing an average of 4.75 goals each. The previous high was Matchday 5 in the group stage, with an average of 3.38 goals per game.

• The sides are meeting for the first time in European competition.

• Dynamo have played 11 games against Portuguese sides with the record W3 D1 L7 (W1 D0 L4 in Portugal). Their first four games in Portugal ended in defeats, by an aggregate score of 13-2, but they ended that run with a 1-0 win at FC Porto on 21 October 2008.

• Braga's only previous experience of Ukrainian opposition came in this season's UEFA Champions League group stage, when they lost 3-0 at home and 2-0 away against Dynamo's arch-rivals FC Shakhtar Donetsk.

• This is the furthest Braga have gone in a UEFA club competition, with two round of 16 appearances in the UEFA Cup (2008/09 and 2006/07) their best performance on the continent before this season.

• Braga have won six of their seven European home games this season without conceding a single goal; the only blot on their copybook is the aforementioned 3-0 loss to Shakhtar.

• A 1-0 defeat at Manchester City FC in the round of 16 ended Dynamo's three game winning streak away from home in the UEFA Europa League, which included 4-1 wins against both FC BATE Borisov and Beşiktaş JK.

• All four of Braga's goals since transferring into the UEFA Europa League in the round of 32 have come in the first half of their games.

• Roman Eremenko and Yarmolenko are the only players to have featured in all 11 of Dynamo's games since the start of the group stage. Artem Milevskiy is their top scorer in this season's competition with five goals.

• Alan is Braga's top UEFA Europa League scorer this season with two goals since the Arsenalistas entered the competition in the round of 32.

• Gusev's own goal in the first leg was the 50th goal Dynamo have conceded in the UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League.
