Rangers FC midfielder Lee McCulloch is set to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.
The 32-year-old Scotland player was due to sit out Sunday's Scottish Cup fifth round tie against city rivals Celtic FC after coming off with a knee injury in Wednesday's 1-0 victory against Heart of Midlothian FC.
However, a subsequent scan has revealed the damage to be more serious than first thought and McCulloch, who has played 30 games for club and country this campaign, is unlikely to feature again this term. Rangers face Sporting Clube de Portugal in the UEFA Europa League round of 32 with the first leg at Ibrox on 17 February.
