Villarreal CF defender Joan Capdevila has signed a two-year contract extension which ties him to the club until June 2013.
Capdevila, who played in five of Villarreal's UEFA Europa League Group D games, has been at El Madrigal since moving from RC Deportivo La Coruña in summer 2007. A FIFA World Cup and UEFA EURO 2008 winner with Spain, the 32-year-old has scored 15 times in 127 Liga appearances for the Yellow Submarine. Juan Carlos Garrido's side finished top of their section and face SSC Napoli in the round of 32 on 17 and 24 February.
