SSC Napoli defender Gianluca Grava will be sidelined for at least three or four months after suffering cruciate ligament damage in his left knee during his side's goalless draw with ACF Fiorentina on Saturday.
Picked up by Napoli in 2005, the 33-year-old centre-back will undergo surgery on Monday afternoon, having made 13 appearances in Serie A this term and four in the UEFA Europa League. The Partenopei lie second in Italy, four points behind AC Milan, and will face Villarreal CF in the UEFA Europa league round on 17 and 24 February.
