Rangers FC have followed up the capture of David Healy by signing midfielder El-Hadji Diouf from Blackburn Rovers FC and Arsenal FC defender Kyle Bartley, both on loan for the remainder of the season.

Diouf had played in England since signing for Liverpool FC from RC Lens in 2002 and followed his time at Anfield up with spells at Bolton Wanderers FC and Sunderland AFC before joining Blackburn, where he scored four times in 60 Premier League appearances.

The 30-year-old has also struck 24 times in 68 matches for Senegal and said: "I can't describe how happy I am to be here. I have joined one of the biggest clubs in the world. Rangers have one of the best supports anywhere in football and it will be an honour to play for them."

The 20-year-old Bartley, who can play at right-back or in central defence, spent the first half of the campaign on loan at English second-tier club Sheffield United FC. An academy graduate, Bartley has made just one appearance for the Gunners, against Olympiacos FC on Matchday 6 of the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League.

Rangers, who brought in Northern Ireland striker David Healy yesterday and have allowed striker James Beattie to join Blackpool FC, face Sporting Clube de Portugal in the UEFA Europa League round of 32, playing the first leg at home on 17 February with the return a week later.
