Villarreal CF will likely be without midfielder Marcos Senna for their UEFA Europa League round of 32 tie against SSC Napoli after the former Spain international suffered a torn hamstring.

The 34-year-old picked up the injury during his team's scoreless Copa del Rey first-leg encounter away to Valencia CF prior to the winter break and reports suggest he now faces up to ten weeks out.

Coach Juan Carlos Garrido must now seek alternatives for the two-legged eliminator against Napoli which will be played on 17 and 24 February, Villarreal holding home advantage in the return leg. Senna has featured four times in the UEFA Europa League and 15 times in Villarreal's climb to third in the Liga this season.
