Porto primed for CSKA Sofia's last outing

FC Porto are already certain of finishing top of Group L, but will be eager to end their UEFA Europa League commitments for 2010 on a high at home against eliminated PFC CSKA Sofia.

• Due to the Portuguese side's superior head-to-head record, Beşiktaş JK cannot deny Porto top spot, while the trail went cold for CSKA on Matchday 5 when they lost 2-1 at home against the Istanbul side.

Previous meetings
• The sides' Matchday 2 meeting was Porto's first competitive game against a Bulgarian club, and they won 1-0 in Sofia, with Falcao scoring the game's only goal on 16 minutes.

• CSKA have yet to beat a Portuguese side in seven games, with their record reading W0 D3 L4 (W0 D1 L2 in Portugal).

• This is Porto's first season in this competition since José Mourinho's Dragons won the 2002/03 UEFA Cup, beating Celtic FC 3-2 in the final in Seville.

• Porto's new coach André Villas-Boas started his career as a teenager in the club's scouting department, and was on Mourinho's staff as one of his assistants by the time the Dragons won the 2003/04 UEFA Champions League. He followed the 'Special One' to Chelsea FC and then FC Internazionale Milano, before going it alone as coach of A. Académica de Coimbra last season. Porto hired him in June.

• Macedonian coach Gjorgi Jovanovski has not been in charge at CSKA since the day after the 2-0 Matchday 3 loss against Rapid, with former defender Milen Radukanov, 37, having been in temporary command while the club seek a long-term appointment. • Former CSKA forward and now executive director for sporting and technical matters Emil Kostadinov won two Liga titles and a Portuguese Cup at Porto between 1990 and 1994, with another future CSKA player, Petar Mihtarski, among his team-mates in Portugal.
