Lausanne and Palermo aim to finish on a high

FC Lausanne-Sport and US Città di Palermo will have the chance to exchange hard-luck stories as the confirmed bottom two in UEFA Europa League Group F sign off for the season.

• Lausanne were already out of the running before their 5-1 Matchday 5 loss at PFC CSKA Moskva while Palermo's 2-2 draw at home against AC Sparta Praha on the same night confirmed that this would not be their season either.

Previous meetings
• Giulio Migliaccio's first European goal won the day as Palermo beat Lausanne 1-0 in the sides' first meeting on Matchday 2. It was the Serie A side's first competitive game against Swiss opponents.

• Lausanne's only previous encounters with Italian opposition came when they met eventual winners S.S. Lazio in the first round of the 1998/99 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. They drew 1-1 in Rome and 2-2 in Lausanne to bow out on away goals.
