PSG progress has Camara purring

Paris Saint-Germain FC defender Zoumana Camara told UEFA.com the French club felt "untouchable" after clinching their UEFA Europa League round of 32 place but insisted they would not rest on their laurels.

Antoine Kombouaré's men maintained their unbeaten record in Group J by overcoming Sevilla FC 4-2 to assure themselves of a top-two finish in the section, while the side are also enjoying an excellent domestic campaign – sitting fourth in Ligue 1, two points off pole position. Despite their impressive form, though, Camara was adamant there would be no let-up.

"For the moment things are going well, but the hardest thing is to maintain this form – we have to try and keep it going," said the 31-year-old centre-back, whose team are unbeaten in nine matches in all competitions. "We have to be careful not to take anything for granted. We have to try and recover quickly, because we play Brest on Sunday. But it's true that we feel as if nothing can touch us at the moment. It's up to us to ensure we maintain this forward momentum."

Midfielder Nenê was at the heart of PSG's Parc des Princes triumph. The Brazilian sent over successive corners from which Mathieu Bodmer and Guillaume Hoarau gave the hosts a comfortable cushion before easing any nerves with a superb 45th-minute strike after Frédéric Kanouté had brought Sevilla level with a quick-fire double.

"We had a little scare when they got back to 2-2 but we managed to dig deep enough to get ourselves back in front," said midfielder Christophe Jallet, who saw Hoarau claim his second goal two minutes into the second half to ease PSG through. "We've picked up the three points we needed to qualify before the final match at Karpaty Lviv and that's what we wanted."

PSG's victory leaves two-time UEFA Cup winners Sevilla requiring a point against former European champions and Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund in Spain in a fortnight; one of the group heavyweights will miss out on the knockout stage. "Perhaps people didn't expect us to get out of this group," added Jallet. "We're still in all competitions and the most important thing is stay in them for as long as possible. We're going to try and continue in the same vein until Christmas before having a well-earned rest."
