VfB Stuttgart are without full-back Stefano Celozzi while several other players are in doubt for Thursday's UEFA Europa League trip to Getafe CF.
Right-back Celozzi, 21, pulled a thigh muscle during his side's 2-0 Bundesliga defeat at VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday and misses at least the Group H visit to Spain along with longer-term absentees Matthieu Delpierre, Philipp Degen and Daniel Didavi.
Also doubtful for the Getafe fixture, where a fourth successive win in the section would take Stuttgart through, are defenders Khalid Boulahrouz (thigh) and Georg Niedermeier (ankle), and forwards Ciprian Marica (adductor) and Pavel Pogrebnyak (ankle).
Serdar Tasci, Zdravko Kuzmanović and Christian Gentner have also been struggling with knocks in recent weeks but are being pressed into action, with Stuttgart coach Jens Keller cancelling training on Monday to give his players time to recuperate. Left-back Arthur Boka has recovered from a knee problem, though, and could be an option in Spain.
