Rapid hoping to maintain momentum

Following a 2-0 defeat by the same opponents on Matchday 3, PFC CSKA Sofia need a victory at SK Rapid Wien to be certain of having a chance of qualifying for the UEFA Europa League round of 32.

• Defeat in Vienna would be the end of the road for CSKA, and a draw would also not be enough if Beşiktaş JK take three points at FC Porto.

• Rapid coach since 2006, Peter Pacult played for all three of the big Vienna clubs – Wiener SC, Rapid and FK Austria Wien – as a striker. He won two league titles with FC Tirol Innsbruck, as well as earning 24 Austria caps. A losing UEFA Cup Winners' Cup finalist with Rapid in 1984/85, he later coached TSV 1860 München, FC Kärnten and 1. FC Dynamo Dresden, before claiming the Austrian title with Rapid in 2007/08.

• Macedonian coach Gjorgi Jovanovski has not been in charge at CSKA since the day after the 2-0 loss against Rapid, with former defender Milen Radukanov, 37, having been in temporary command while the club seek a long-term appointment.

• Rapid fans will have fond memories of one CSKA old boy, with central defender Trifon Ivanov having helped the club win the 1995/96 Bundesliga title. 'The Bulgarian Wolf' had four separate spells as a CSKA player, winning two titles and a Bulgarian Cup. He also reached the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup semi-finals with both clubs.
