SK Rapid Wien have to do without the services of striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink for their UEFA Europa League game against PFC CSKA Sofia on 4 November.
The 31-year-old former Dutch international tore a thigh muscle during his side's 1-1 draw at FC Wiener Neustadt on Sunday, and although the exact severity of the injury has yet to be determined he will certainly miss the Group L home match against CSKA Sofia.
Summer signing Vennegoor of Hesselink has scored twice in six Austrian Bundesliga games and struck the first goal in Rapid's 2-0 win at CSKA on Matchday 3. Following that victory, the Vienna club sit third in Group L on three points.
