Pedro Mosquera will team up with former coach Míchel at UEFA Europa League hopefuls Getafe CF after Real Madrid CF agreed to let the midfielder go for an undisclosed fee.
The Galician-born player, 22, has penned a four-year deal at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez with Real Madrid having negotiated a buy-back clause. Mosquera made just one Spanish Liga appearance for Madrid as a substitute, but having played under Míchel in the capital side's reserve team, was delighted to reacquaint himself with "a great trainer".
He said: "Míchel always put his faith in me and I'm going to do my best to repay that trust. The fact my new team will be competing in Europe is of course important, but so too is the great fan base here." Los Azulones – who have already added Javier Arizmendi, Iván Marcano and Borja Fernández to their ranks – will compete in the UEFA Europa League play-offs with the draw on 6 August for games on the last two Thursdays of that month.
