Galatasaray AŞ have sold Kader Keïta to Qatari club Al Sadd for a fee of more than €8m, with the 28-year-old forward having spent just one season with the UEFA Europa League contenders.
No contract details have been released for Keïta, who scored five goals in 27 league games last term as Galatasaray finished third in Turkey's Super League. The Ivory Coast frontman was also a regular in his side's UEFA Europa League campaign, registering five times in 11 fixtures, including qualifying.
However, the former LOSC Lille Métropole and Olympique Lyonnais player, who won his 60th international cap at the FIFA World Cup, never quite settled in Istanbul. He returns to the Qatar Stars League team he represented between 2002 and 2005. Galatasaray start their 2010/11 UEFA Europa League tilt in the third qualifying round.
